We are excited to tell you that our auction has gone mobile this year!  Rehab 2017 will be using HANDBID, a mobile silent auction platform that allows you to bid from your smartphone.

No smartphone?  No problem.

Click this secure link to access the auction on your PC: https://www.handbid.com/auctions/rehab-2017. Once you’re in, look for the red & white “REGISTER” button. Sign up and start browsing. You’ll find an item listing down the left side. Click a category, and when you find an item you like, click it, then click the green “BID NOW” button. It’s as easy as that! Watch your email after the auction closes to receive your invoice, payment, and pickup instructions. If you don’t see it, check your spam/junk folder.

We will also have staff available at the event to get you signed up and bidding!

Save time at check-in by getting setup and Bidding BEFORE YOU ARRIVE! Mobile device users, keep reading…

If you have an iPhone or Android, you can download the Handbid app from the Apple iTunes App Store or the Google Play store.

Please note we strongly recommend you “Accept notifications from this App” when you open it and join an auction. This will allow you to get push notifications for “Outbid” messages during the auction.

Next you can create an account. From the App home screen, tap on “GET STARTED” button and complete the information (please use your cell phone as the phone number). Tap NEXT

Handbid will text you a 5 digit code. Enter this code to login.

Once you are logged in, select Rehab 2017 from the list of auctions and START BIDDING!

Whether you are bidding online or in the Handbid App, here are some easy tips to help:

  • MAX BID:

This is the max you are willing to spend for an item and Handbid system will automatically bid for you until you reach your max. Set a max bid and enjoy your evening!

If you have downloaded the Handbid App and accepted push notifications, you will be notified by push notifications when you are outbid on an item. If you don’t have the app you will receive text messages from Handbid.

Monitor what you are currently winning and losing on the Dashboard screen in your app or online.

Congrats! You received an email telling you that you have won some items, but you are not sure how to pay.

Here are a variety of ways you can pay your invoice:

If you bid on the mobile app, you should be prompted when you re-enter the app that you have an unpaid invoice that you need to view and pay.

If you do not see this message, you can still check your invoices. Just enter any auction from the Auction List (you can hit BROWSE if it asks you). Once you are in the auction, tap the Menu at the top left (3 horizontal lines). That will reveal a menu on the left where you can select “invoices”

From here, you can select your invoice from the UNPAID list and then pay your invoice by either using a card you have on file or adding a card from the invoice screen.

You can also visit Handbid.com to pay your invoice.

Once you get to Handbid.com, makes sure you are logged in to your account. If you see the “LOGIN” option at the top, then you are not logged in.

Once you are logged in, you should receive a prompt indicating that you have an UNPAID invoice. There is an option there to view and pay your invoice (this is the fastest way to find it and pay it).

If you don’t see this message, you can still check for unpaid invoices by looking in your profile menu. There is a PROFILE button right next to your name on your bidder dashboard. Click on that to reveal your menu and pay your invoice.

If you have any questions or you do not wish to pay your invoice online, you will need to contact your auction manager to arrange payment.

If the auction requires that a credit be on file, then Handbid will require all bidders to have one registered before they place any bids.  Here is how you can add a card on file to your account. In the smartphone APPS the bidder will not be able to proceed in your auction without entering a credit card.

If you would like to let your bidders view and get started with a couple of bids you may want to consider requiring credit card at a spending threshold.  This can be any dollar amount and is entered on the “Financial” tab in the Auction Settings.

To add a card to your profile on Handbid.com, you need to first login to Handbid.com by clicking on the “LOGIN” button above. If you have not yet created an account, you will need to do that first.

Once you have logged in, you can add a card, by clicking on the word “PROFILE” next to your name on the auction page.

That will reveal your profile menu.  From there, you can click on “update credit card” and click on the “Add Credit Card” button.

To add a card from the app, you will need to first login.  Once you are in an auction, you can get to your profile menu by TAPPING on the menu button in the top left of the screen.  Once you click on that, TAP on the PROFILE option in the menu.  At the top of your profile, you will see an tab called “CREDIT CARD”.  From there, you can view your cards on TAP on the button to add a credit card.

Otherwise, Auction Managers can add cards for bidders through the Auction management interface, either at Checkin or directly on the bidder profile.  See the Auction Manager for information on how to do this.
